Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers

The Albuquerque Housing Authority administers the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP) program. The HCVP program is the federal government's major program for assisting very low-income families, the elderly, and the disabled with decent, safe, sanitary and affordable housing in the private market. This program provides: - Vouchers to help pay for housing There is a current waitlist while pre-applications are being accepted. Pre-applications must be filled out online, not in paper format. Albuquerque Housing Authority has free kiosks available to complete your pre-application. These terminals are available by appointment only, please call 505-764-3953 or email update@abqha.org to schedule. Walk-ins will not be accepted.
